The idea of revising our meeting start time from 8:00pm to 7:00pm was brought up during our February 2, 2010 board of Governors meeting.  With favorable response received at ensuing lodge meetings, the Secretary was advised to prepare for a proposed By-Law change to the Lodge.  This was done an d presented to the Lodge for a preliminary ballot.  This was approved for revision on Tuesday March 23, 2010. 

The proposed change is as follows:

Page 4, Article IV, section 2 of Reading Lodge #115 By-Laws currently reads, “The regular hour of meeting shall be 8:00 o’clock p.m.; but at any time, however, when convenience requires, the regular meeting may be held at an hour to be determined by vote of the Lodge to that effect at the previous meeting, provided that proper notice of such change of meeting shall be given to all the members.”  Our request is to change 8:00 o’clock p.m. to 7:00 o’clock p.m.  If you have any thoughts on this requested change, please come to the April 27, 2010 meeting, and let your thoughts be heard and participate in the vote.
